Mrs. Karina Kashmiri

I am passionate about providing the best possible Dental Hygiene treatment to patients here at My Gentle Dental.  I have over 25 years of experience in the dental field. After graduating from University of Newcastle (NSW) in 2010 with a Batchelor of Oral Health qualification, I began my hygienist career in Australia for several years before moving overseas with my husband to gain some international experience in Dubai, United Arab Emirates delivering exceptional patient care to a diverse range of patients.

 Gentle and compassionate in nature, I am passionate about helping my patients achieve and maintain optimal oral and general health by teaching my patients good home care practices and through delivering high quality dental care. I believe in taking a gentle, but thorough approach to dental care. I particularly enjoy working with those who have dental phobias. It is very rewarding breaking down barriers with patients and watching them go from dental phobic patients who avoid the dental setting, to regular preventative care patients of mine.

 As a mum of 3 young children myself, I understand how difficult it can be to perform good oral hygiene practices at home (you need to get creative!) on your children. I love working with children and believe through education and nutritional guidance, we can change the way children enjoy dental and systemic health in the future.

 I have a passion for recognising the signs and symptoms of poor oral function which contribute to poor facial development including dental crowding, sleep disordered breathing in both children and adults, TMD, head and neck pain, as well as poor posture and orthodontic relapse.

 I am always striving to enhance my skills through professional development in order to provide best evidence-based treatment for my clients.

 When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me exploring the great outdoors, trying out new recipes, or spending time with my family and friends.
